A Liquid State

The Shape of Motion

“Unable to perceive the shape of you, I find you all around me. Your presence fills my eyes with your love, it humbles my heart, for you are everywhere.” ― Daniel Kraus

The Shape of Water. Directed by Guillermo del Toro, 2017.

I seek to capture the shape of presence. Modeling movements with water. I am humbled by the figure—specifically performing artists as messengers of kinetic energy.

My process is a dialogue between control and chaos, allowing the water to find its own path – existing everywhere at once.

This art blog is an ongoing collection of short pose watermedia paintings from the model. The majority painted under the mentorship of Naomi Campbell at the Art Students League of New York.
